In cases where the Master Elect of a Lodge dies, becomes disqualified, incapacitated, or formally declines the position less than seven days before the scheduled installation meeting, the outgoing Master remains in office until the end of the term for which the Master Elect was elected. During the installation meeting, the outgoing Master is responsible for investing the Wardens and any other Officers selected by the Master Elect. For those not selected, the outgoing Master appoints them himself, alongside the Treasurer and Tyler. This provision ensures continuity in leadership and operational stability within the Lodge during unforeseen circumstances affecting the Master Elect.
