The Board exercises control over the finances of the Grand Lodge, determining the banks and accounts for depositing all funds. It holds the authority to inspect all financial records and can summon any Brother in possession of relevant documents. Financial accounts are balanced annually as of December 31 and audited by a firm recognized under the Companies Acts, with the auditors elected each June. The audited accounts are distributed to every Lodge by April 30 for review at the Grand Lodge's Quarterly Communication in June. Additionally, under Rule 229, the Board can make recommendations to the Grand Lodge or the Craft, which, once adopted, are treated as Edicts of the Grand Lodge, thereby influencing the governance and welfare of the Craft.

(a) The Board shall have the control of the finances of the Grand Lodge. All moneys belonging to the Grand Lodge shall be deposited in such bank or banks or similar financial institutions and to such accounts as the Board may from time to time determine. Power to inspect the Grand Lodge Books, etc. (b) The Board has power to inspect all books and papers relating to the accounts of the Grand Lodge, and to give such directions as may be necessary, and to require the attendance of any Brother having possession of any books, papers, documents, or accounts belonging to the Grand Lodge. Audit (c) The accounts shall be balanced each year as at the 31st December, and shall be audited by a firm of auditors recognised under the Companies Acts elected annually in June by the Grand Lodge. These accounts when audited shall be circulated to every Lodge not later than 30th April next following for presentation and consideration at the Quarterly Communication of the Grand Lodge in June. Rule 229: The Board may recommend or report to the Grand Lodge or to the Craft whatever it may deem conducive to the welfare and good government of the Craft, and every recommendation or report of the Board, or of any Committee appointed by the Board shall, when adopted by the Grand Lodge, be treated as an Edict of the Grand Lodge.
