Internet Lodge No. 9659 E.C., established in 1998, is recognized as the world's first international Internet Masonic Lodge operating under the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE). The Lodge welcomes Masons globally, encouraging exploration of its website and consideration for membership. It facilitates online interactions through mailing lists, discussion groups, and blogs, while also hosting three physical meetings annually in various UGLE jurisdictions. The Lodge promotes international camaraderie, transcending racial, religious, and political barriers. Non-Masons are invited to learn about Freemasonry, with guidance on how to join available through the UGLE website. However, Internet Lodge does not initiate new members directly; it is intended for existing Masons. A new Internet Lodge Travel Club is introduced to foster member gatherings worldwide. The message emphasizes the Lodge's commitment to fostering understanding and harmony among its diverse membership.

Welcome to the web-site of Internet Lodge No. 9659 On behalf of all the members of our Lodge I bid you a very warm welcome to our website. Internet Lodge No 9659 E.C. is a regular Masonic Lodge working under the constitution of the United Grand Lodge Of England (UGLE). It has been in existence since 1998 and can justly claim to be the world's first truly international Internet Masonic Lodge with members in many different countries and in every continent. If you are a fellow Mason then I extend to you our most cordial greetings as a Brother. Please explore our website, and if you are interested in our concept of International Freemasonry why not consider joining us? No matter where you are in the world you will be only as far away from your fellow members as you are from your keyboard. Through this Lodge I have made many firm Masonic friends from all over the world. All of our day-to-day business is conducted over the Internet. We have a lively mailing list and an interesting member's area, including discussion groups and "blogs", on the website. We also hold three regular physical Lodge meetings each year at various locations within the jurisdiction of UGLE. We have also travelled to interesting events, both Masonic and non Masonic, in the UK, Netherlands, USA and Portugal. This year we will introduce a new Internet Lodge Travel Club to help members to arrange to get together, in groups large and small, around the world. Alternatively, if you are not a Freemason then you are also especially welcome at our website. I hope that you will learn more about our worldwide fraternity which genuinely transcends all forms of racial, religious or political prejudice and supports  international understanding and harmony. We believe that, given the geographical spread of its membership, our Lodge is a true representation of those sentiments. If you wish to know how to become a Freemason a good place to start is by visiting the How to Become a Mason pages on the United Grand Lodge of England web site. If you are from outside the UK you will find useful links to other Grand Lodges. Please be aware that Internet Lodge is for interested Brethren who are already Masons and that we don't initiate new members ourselves. I hope that you will enjoy your visit to the Internet Lodge web site and that you will be back to see us soon. Larry Porter Worshipful Master Internet Lodge 9659
