Friday 10th October 2014 We will meet in the Holiday Inn where we will have an informal dinner together in the evening at around 7.30 p.m. We shall dine from the hotel's Table d'hote menu ( a selection of 3 courses) Dress casual The cost will be £17.00p. Residents will be charged on their accounts. Non Residents must pay the Treasurer in advance. Members should make bookings in the usual way. Non-members should email the membership secretary with their requirements   Saturday 11th October 2014 - daytime Brethren The lodge will meet on Saturday 11th October 2014 The meeting will be at Newport Masonic Hall, 109 Lower Dock Street, Newport NP20 2AG. There are parking restrictions and it is not suitable for walking from the hotel (Unless you are David from Altrincham A bus will leave the hotel at 10.00 a.m. and the cost will be cost £5.00 return. Upon arrival at the Masonic Hall we will have a rehearsal Lodge will tyle at 12.00 noon. We will call off 1.00 p.m for a plated buffet lunch (3 courses). The cost will be £17.00 Lodge will resume at 2.15 p.m. There will be a demonstration of The Russian Initiation Ceremony (circa 1810) presented by the Monmouthshire Demonstration team Lodge will close around 3.30 p.m. when we shall return by bus to the hotel. Ladies There will be an optional excursion on Saturday for the ladies to the Big Pit and on to Abergavenny for lunch and shopping. The Big Pit is a unique museum has been designated a World heritage Site by UNESCO As this is a museum then like all museums in Wales there is no charge for entry, There will however be a charge for the bus which will leave the hotel at 9:30 a.m. There is a free option to vist underground but this is completely at the discretion of the individual. Those wishing to visit underground should meet at the tour entrance at 10:45 a.m. The underground tour will take approximately one hour .Sensible shoes and warm clothing are recommended. For those not venturing underground there is much else to see at the museum. The bus will leave around 12:30 p.m. to go over the scenic mountain route to Abergavenny arriving around 1:00 p.m. There you will be able to have lunch and explore this small pretty town. You will return by bus to the hotel leaving around 2:45 p.m. arriving back around 3:30 p.m. Saturday 11th October 2014 - evening Saturday Night is Ladies Night !! We shall meet in the reception for drinks and wine ordering from 7:00 p.m. Entrance to the suite is at 7:45 p.m. and we shall dine at 8:00 p.m. Dress. Gentlemen Dinner Jackets and bow tie.
