Warrant lost or withheld

A lost or improperly withheld Masonic warrant necessitates the suspension of Lodge meetings until a warrant of confirmation is obtained from the Grand Master or the original warrant is recovered. This procedure applies when the warrant is not in the possession of those lawfully entitled to it or is retained by competent Masonic authority. The Lodge must apply for a confirmation warrant, which serves as a temporary measure allowing the Lodge to operate legally until the original warrant is found or restored. If a confirmation warrant is issued, it must be returned to the Grand Master immediately upon the recovery of the original warrant.
