Royal Arch Regulation 97

Regulation 97 outlines the specific requirements for the wearing of sashes by Companions in the Royal Arch. All Companions are mandated to wear a sash of a designated pattern over the left shoulder, featuring a silk fringe at the end and an emblem embroidered on a white background. However, there are exceptions for certain ranks: Principals and Past Principals must have a gold or metal gilt fringe with the emblem on a crimson background. For Companions holding Grand Chapter Rank, Senior Metropolitan or Senior Overseas Grand Chapter Rank, or Metropolitan or Overseas Grand Chapter Rank, the fringe must also be gold or metal gilt, but the emblem will be on a dark blue background. Additionally, Provincial or District Grand Officers and holders of Metropolitan or Overseas Chapter Rank are required to follow the same guidelines, with the stipulation that if they are not Installed Principals, the fringe should be made of silk.
