Ladies Festival Weekend 9th to 11th August 2013 The Lodge meeting and Ladies festival in August 2013 will be based in Bangor North Wales The main hotel will be the Careg Bran Hotel.  NOW SOLD OUTThis country hotel is in the village of 'Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch' and has 29 rooms one of which is a single. We have block booked the whole hotel for the 9th and 10th of August 2013. The hotel may not have room for everyone and details of overflow hotel(s) are shown below.There are no suitable larger hotels in the area.     Bookings for the Hotels are now open. The Carreg Bran (Carreg Mon) for which we have the whole Hotel booked, is now sold out.  Another hotel is the Victoria Hotel which is about 1 mile from the Carreg Bran at Telford Road, Menai Bridge, Isle Of Anglesey. This family run establishment offers excellent accomodation in 17 well appointed en suite bedrooms, with additional ensuite accommodation in the adjacent annex. One ground-floor bedroom is designed specifically for the disabled and access to the building is good. Most of the bedrooms are not at ground level and as there is no lift, access to them involves climbing stairs. We have secured 5 or 6 double rooms here which will be released to the general public after 30th June if they are not booked. The cost is around.£69 b&b. Please note  This is NOT the Victoria Menai Bridge Any further overspill may wish to look at the Premier Inn which is next door to the Masonic Hall  Caravans and camping. Non members must email the assistant secretary On Friday 9th August there will be an informal meal/get together at the  Victoria Hotel Menai Bridge. Tea / Coffee On Saturday 10th August the lodge will meet at the new Masonic Hall at The Masonic Hall, Ffordd y Parc, Parc Menai, Bangor, LL57 4FA.  Telephone 01248 671788  Tea/Coffee on arrival after 10am. 11.30 to 12.30pm Buffet Lunch  Carved Buffet Service including Salmon, Ham, Meats, Sausage Rolls, Vegetarian Alternative, Salad, Coleslaw, Pasta, Quiches, Dauphinoise and other Potatoes, Bread Rolls,  - Sweet - Cheesecake or Profiteroles.  Lodge will open at 1.00 pm. The main business will be an Illustrated Talk by member W.Bro, Dave Siviter, PPSGW entitled 'Masonic Staffordshire Pottery Portrait Figures of the Victorian Era' (A fairly lighthearted insight into this famous genre of pottery.) Non Masons may attend the talk as lodge will either be closed or called off..  For the Ladies and any non masons who do not want to attend the talk there will be a full day trip to visit Portmeirion, the most popular attraction in North Wales. Transport will be provided from the Victoria, Carreg Bran and Royal Victoria Llanberis hotels and the Masonic Hall, to Portmeirion and will start at 9.00 am start returning about 4.00pm Acquired by Clough Williams-Ellis in 1925 as a derelict wilderness he spent the next 50 years designing and building his Italian village. Whilst renowned for its gardens and architecture, Portmeirion shot to fame in the 1960s when it was used as ‘the village’ in Patrick McGoohan’s surreal spy drama The Prisoner. So if you are interested in beautiful gardens, architecture, country walks or exploring the home of Number 6, Portmeirion will have something of interest for all of you. There is also a shop where you can purchase Portmeirion pottery, created by Susan William-Ellis. To join the ladies trip please email Jaqui Porter as soon as possible. EARLY BOOKING IS ADVISABLE On Saturday evening we shall hold our Ladies' Festival at the Careg Bran. This will be a Welsh Themed musically enriched evening. Dress Code is "jacket and tie required".  On Sunday 11th August there is an early morning excursion to ascend on the railway to the summit of Snowdon commencing at 8.30am and returning at midday. £24 per head return fare from Llanberis Station to the summit. There is the excellent National Slate Museum Workshops and Quarry Exhibit across the road from the Snowdon Railway which is FREE and a good trip in its own right. (Cafés and gift shops, illustrated talks)

Optional return Transport £6 per head (16 places) 7.30am Victoria Hotel, 7.45am Carreg Bran Hotel, 8,00am Masonic Hall Bangor to arrive at Llanberis Station 8.30am Collection 2.30pm from Llanberis and return to the Hotels or The Masonic Hall
