The Tyler of a Lodge is elected by members during the regular election of the Master. Alternatively, a Lodge may appoint a subscribing member as Tyler without compensation, in which case the Master includes him among the other Officers. An elected Tyler can be removed for sufficient cause by a majority vote of members present at a regular meeting. To serve as Tyler, an individual must be a Master Mason and registered in the Grand Lodge's records. This document outlines the election and appointment procedures, the conditions for removal, and the qualifications required for the position, ensuring that the role is filled by a competent and recognized member of the Lodge.
