Bro Türker Yildiz shares a profound dream experienced while contemplating the Great Dipper constellation. The dream begins with him observing his own burial and transitions into a journey guided by the comforting presence of his deceased parents. They impart significant lessons about life, matter, divine essence, and the importance of seeking one's true self. The narrative emphasizes the distinction between the physical and spiritual realms, highlighting that material concerns can be deceptive. As he awakens, he reflects on the symbolism of the Acacia tree and the Big Dipper, concluding with the affirmation that "nothing dies, everything lives." This dream serves as a metaphorical exploration of Masonic principles related to life, death, and the pursuit of enlightenment, encouraging individuals to seek deeper truths beyond the material world.

Short Papers Competition 2009 © 2010 Internet Lodge and the author Paper 4/2009 Title The Dream Author Bro T ürker Yildiz – Turkey I would like to tell you about a dream I saw recently. In fact, it is the type of dream that I cannot tell anyone else about. What’s more I did not have this dream wh ile asleep in bed, but while sitting on a chair at my home garden. How did this happen? I will try to explain. It was late at night towards midnight, when I turned my face to and stared at the Great Dipper c onstellation, as I often do. First I counted the handle 1,2,3. Later the pot 1,2,3,4. Then the entire figure 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7. Then I took the handle and traced a triangle in the sky, and took the dipper and traced a square in the sky, and placed the triangle on the square. I then visualized this figure against the dark sky. At this point I fell asleep.
I dreamed that I was dead. People were weeping by my tomb and I was watching them. It was as if I saw them from high above. I was as li ght as a feather. Then I followed them to my grave. I watched myself being buried. Then suddenly everything disappeared from view. I was surrounded by total darkness.
I then felt like someone touched me and toke my arm. Tough I could not see it, I felt compassion in every touch. I was being taken somewhere. I could not see where. But I had a comforting premonition. However my heart beat was so strong, my felt like my heart could leap out any moment.
I was alerted with a sound. There was knocking at a gat e, and we were told we had to go inside. However there was a voice that proclaim ed that I should not go inside. S uddenly I heard my mother’s voice intervened. Her lovely voice in the darkness and the awareness of her proximity filled me with joy.
She was said, “Take my son in. I can vouch for him!”
Then she took my arm and I felt he r warm and tender voice in my ear; “Son, don’t panic. I will always be with you. All I ask of you is that you answer all these questions in a sincere and honest manner. First have faith that you will succeed. May God be with you.
Then a voice came from above, “Let the First Journey begin.”
I moved forward with my mother holding my right arm and someone else holding my left arm. Then a warm and compassionate voice whispered into my left ear, “Son, I am your father, walk on, all three of us, you, your mother and I are together.
We came to a point and we stopped. My mother took my hand and I felt that it touched fire. She said, “Son, this is matter. Never allow your self to be deceived by matter in yo ur lifetime. If you do it will burn you like fire. Never believe that all is matter.”
Then he whispered in my other ear, “Son, I’m going now, but your mother will always be with you.”
Then the voice from above spoke again, “Let the Second Journey begin.”
1 Short Papers Competition 2009 © 2010 Internet Lodge and the author We move forward with only my mother holding my arm and stopped at a point. My mother took my arm and placed it on water. She said, “This is your divine essence inside you that will liv e with you. It is your life. It can take any form just like water. Don’t ever forget that throughout your life, it will reside within you as your true self. Seek to find it. If you do so you can learn the meaning of life on Earth.
The voice from above resounded three times, “Let the Third Journey begin.”
My mother and I walked in a closer manner, and then she placed my hand on earth. She said, “Son, this is the world you will live in. Everything in your mortal body is also here. Your body will rot and become part of the earth. I hope that you will find your essence that is in your body.”
Then suddenly I came out of the darkness. My eyes drew the light like a hungry baby sucking milk. I was standing on the west side of our temple that I alwa ys entered in excitement. The holy book, square and compass were right in the middle. But there was a di fference. The three pillars in the middle were not there, instead in their place in th e Northeast there was one on-material p illar that stretched to the stars in the ceiling. I asked, “Mother why one pillar? Where are the other pillars? What pillar is this?
She said, “Son, you are not fully born yet. This is the pillar of your divine soul, the pillar of infinity. You will not see it after you are born. If by using your r eason and wisdom, and giving all your power to beauty, maybe you can see and feel it. Now, son, go and sit at the place I have prepared for you at the Southeast.
I sat in my place. The single pillar gradually disappeared and the three pillars appeared.
Dear, brother this is when I woke up. My back ac hed from sleeping on the chair. I had no idea how long I slept. Just as I had no idea how much more I will live.
I reviewed the dream. And just as entering the door of my home, I looked agai n at the branches of the Acacia tree and saw the Big Dipper between them and counted. 1,2,3 at the handle and 1,2,3,4 at the dipper.
Then I looked up at the sky and mumbled…
NOTHING DIES, EVERYTHING LIVES !
