In cases of death, resignation, suspension, or removal of a Metropolitan, Provincial, or District Grand Master, the Deputy Grand Master assumes all functions of the position until a new Grand Master is appointed and installed, as per Rule 63. The Deputy Grand Master, while acting in this capacity, is designated as ‘Deputy Metropolitan (or Provincial or District) Grand Master in Charge’ and does not gain any additional rank or distinction. If the Deputy is unavailable, the senior Metropolitan, Provincial, or District Grand Officer next in rank will fulfill these duties, adhering to any directives from the Grand Master. This provision ensures continuity of leadership and governance within the Masonic structure during transitional periods.
