Regulation 29 outlines the protocol for succession in the event of the death, resignation, suspension, or removal of a Metropolitan Grand Superintendent or Grand Superintendent. The Deputy Metropolitan Grand Superintendent or Deputy Grand Superintendent assumes the role temporarily, provided they are available. If neither is available, the Second or Third Metropolitan, Provincial, or District Grand Principal may step in, maintaining the rights of the designated Grand Superintendent as per Regulation 28. The acting individual retains the title of their office with the addition of "in charge" and does not gain any additional rank or distinction. In cases where the Grand Superintendent is unavailable for other reasons, the same hierarchy applies, allowing the next senior Metropolitan, Provincial, or District Grand Officer to fulfill the functions of the Grand Superintendent, subject to any existing directives from the Grand Superintendent. This regulation ensures continuity of leadership within the Royal Arch framework.
