An Activated Man

Paper 55/2007 Title An Activated Man Author Bro Lars Pedersen - Denmark It is evident that people are different, and act differ ently in life. Some are acting successfully, some are not. Some fulfil their potential, some are openly wasting theirs.
Many die as unconsciously as they have lived, never knowing why they were here, others die being somewhat in doubt whether or not they “lived” successfully, and but a very few die knowing they did more than they thought possible. They “did it” to quote Kipling. What is their secret? And how did they “do it”? All people are individual masterpieces – made in the “Image of God”. We are not “equal” (each of us being given a unique set of genes, and a unique set of ch ildhood, younghood and adult hood impact situations), we are indeed born equal and we die equal. In the eyes of the Almighty we are equal, we are His children. Even though that is the case, we can all either make the most of our skills (genes and upbringing) or not, fill our place out or not. What distinguishes us is not only our place in life (who we are), but also two other factors: What we can do, and what we know. The Existence, the Power and the Knowledge of a person together make that person or “the Man”. Existence + Power + Knowledge = Man. Although we are not equally equipped we can all look inside ourselves, and the further inside we look, the more apparent it becomes that we are all similar. T he Laws of the Universe work within also, and that is where we find the 3 “pools” or “reservoirs” for lack of better words. The pool of Existence, the pool of Power and the pool of Knowledge. When a Man becomes a Mason he is invested with a possibility, in fact an obligation, to understand the nature of himself, his “within”. He is also informed of the necessity to work not only by himself, but with his brethren, to shape his “within” to fit his stone with theirs and to the glory of God. He must serve and put his skills fully to that end – without compromising his daily duties, towards family, work and society. What he is given to perform this is a set of instruct ions, tools and allegories, that he must study carefully, and he will be paid in more tasks, more challenges and advanc ement in the degrees. But he will face no dogma, he only has himself to work on. He must shape himself. He is told the What to become, but How is that done? As spacely activated existence equals Beauty, as inertially activated power equals Strength, and as timely activated knowledge equals Wisdom, it is now possible to hint at the How: He must activate what he Is, Can and Knows. Beauty + Strength + Wisdom = Freemason.
Not better than other Men, but a Freemason nonetheless. An activated Man. Activated from Within. Where the Kingdom of God resides. Good luck My Brother!
