Business intended for discussion at any Quarterly Communication or other Grand Lodge meetings must be submitted to the Grand Secretary in writing at least seven days prior to the regular meeting of the Board of General Purposes that precedes the communication. This requirement ensures that all matters are properly considered and organized in advance. However, exceptions exist for any business that the Board of General Purposes specifically authorizes to be included on the agenda for the Quarterly Communication or other Grand Lodge meetings. This procedural guideline facilitates efficient planning and management of discussions within the Grand Lodge, ensuring that members are adequately informed about the topics to be addressed. Compliance with this rule is essential for maintaining order and transparency in Masonic operations.
