Royal Arch Regulation 4

Regulation 4 outlines the titles and prefixes used by Companions in Royal Arch Masonry. The prefix "Most Excellent" (M.E.) is designated for the Three Grand Principals, the Pro First Grand Principal, all Past Grand Principals, and Past Pro First Grand Principals. Additionally, Metropolitan Grand Superintendents, Grand Superintendents, and First Principals of private Chapters are also entitled to this prefix, though it is not used with their names. The prefix "Excellent" (E.) applies to current and past Grand Officers and Principals of Chapters. All other Companions are referred to simply as "Companion." Notably, there are no salutes exchanged among Companions within Royal Arch Masonry, emphasizing a distinct protocol regarding titles and interactions. This regulation serves to standardize the recognition of ranks and roles within the organization, ensuring clarity and respect among members.
