The Grantham August 2016 document outlines the itinerary and arrangements for a Masonic gathering in Grantham, an ancient market town. Participants will stay at the Eden House Hotel and the Angel and Royal Hotel, both within walking distance of the Masonic Hall. The event includes visits to St. Wulfram's Church and its Chain Library, featuring historical texts, and a Saturday Lodge meeting at Faraday House with a presentation by Masonic historian John Acaster on "Freemasonry: Our Future." A festive board follows the Lodge meeting, while partners explore Grantham's historic market. On Sunday, attendees visit Belton House, with a group bus booking for a guided tour. Reservations for hotel accommodations must be made by April 30, 2016, as both hotels have limited availability. The schedule emphasizes opportunities for fellowship, exploration, and engagement with Masonic history.

Grantham is a very ancient market town on the Great North Road with easy access by road, train and airports. We are staying at two hotels, both in the town of Grantham and a very short walk from the Masonic Hall. We will be visiting St. Wolframs Church and their very famous Chain Library containing a book from Naples printed 1476, and Polyglot, Vinigar, Breeches and King James Bibles bought as a cart load from Cambridge for £100. Whilst we are at Lodge our partners will visit the town of Grantham which has a wonderful old world atmosphere, is packed with historical interest and Saturday is market day. On Sunday we will visit Belton House by bus only 5 miles outside town. Belton house was a party venue for Edward VII & Mrs Simpson, a wonderful country house and gardens. In order to accommodate us all we have reserved rooms at the Eden House Hotel and Angel and Royal Hotel, the oldest Inn in England and patronised by two of our Kings and Grand Masters. Both are small hotels having only 20 rooms, situated in town and have been booked at a minimum price, so bookings need to made by 30/04/2016. Both hotels have car parking. The hotels are a very short distance apart with Faraday House, our Masonic Hall and St. Wolframs Church in the middle. Our Friday gathering and buffet being held at the Angel and Royal and Saturday evening we will be dining at the Eden house Hotel. Being in town allows us the opportunity to explore Grantham on foot. Our partners will enjoy this small and very pretty town and open market whilst we meet at Lodge. In the evening when we will gather and dine together at Eden House. On Sunday we will enjoy an outing to Belton House and Gardens with the option of a garden centre across the road.
