Grantham is a very ancient market town on the Great North Road with easy access by road, train and airports. We are staying at two hotels, both in the town of Grantham and a very short walk from the Masonic Hall. We will be visiting St. Wulframs Church and their very famous Chain Library containing a book from Naples printed 1476, and Polyglot, Vinigar, Breeches and King James Bibles bought as a cart load from Cambridge for £100. Whilst we are at Lodge our partners will visit the town of Grantham which has a wonderful old world atmosphere, is packed with historical interest and Saturday is market day. On Sunday we will visit Belton House by bus only 5 miles outside town. Belton house was a party venue for Edward VII & Mrs Simpson, a wonderful country house and gardens. ACCOMMODATION In order to accommodate us all we have reserved rooms at the Eden House Hotel and Angel and Royal Hotel, the oldest Inn in England and patronised by two of our Kings and Grand Masters. Both are small hotels having only 20 rooms, situated in town and very early booking is recommended. Both hotels have car parking. Hotel Booking details
