Regulation 56 addresses the devolution of authority by the Principals of a Royal Arch Chapter during their temporary absence. It allows the Principals to retain control over Chapter affairs, enabling them to delegate specific responsibilities to qualified Companions. These delegated Companions can occupy the Chairs and perform exaltations as if the Principals were present. This regulation ensures that the Chapter's operations continue smoothly in the Principals' absence, maintaining the integrity and functionality of the Chapter. It emphasizes the importance of having qualified individuals step into leadership roles temporarily, thereby ensuring that the Chapter's activities are not disrupted. This regulation is crucial for maintaining order and continuity within the Royal Arch framework, particularly in jurisdictions where such provisions are recognized.
