Regulation 59 governs the calling of emergency convocations for a Masonic Chapter. It stipulates that only one convocation may occur on any given day, and such convocations can only be initiated by the authority of the Principals. No business, aside from the installation of a Principal, that is typically required at a regular convocation may be conducted during an emergency convocation. The agenda for the emergency meeting must strictly adhere to the items specified in the summons, and no other business may be introduced. Additionally, minutes from previous convocations may only be read or confirmed if they pertain directly to the validity of the business listed for the emergency meeting. This regulation ensures that emergency convocations remain focused and limited in scope, maintaining order and adherence to established protocols within the Chapter.

No business (other than the installation of a Principal) which these Regulations require to be transacted at a regular convocation shall be transacted at an emergency convocation, and the business to be transacted thereat shall not include any business whatsoever except such as is mentioned on the summons convening the convocation nor shall the minutes of any previous convocation be read or confirmed at an emergency convocation except in so far as any such minutes relate to or affect the validity of the business so mentioned.
